Abstract

The Human Development Index (HDI) is an indicator of development achievements in the quality of life of the society which is compiled based on three basic dimensions, namely long and healthy life, knowledge and a decent standard of living. The HDI figures which are presented periodically every year aim to determine the achievements of human development in Kebumen, both in terms of general HDI achievements and its constituent dimensions. The HDI for Kebumen Regency in 2024 has reached 72.48. With these HDI achievements, Kebumen is in the 'high' category of human development status. This achievement brought Kebumen to position 23 of 35 regency/municipalities in achieving human development in Central Java. However, these achievements still leave tasks and work that are not easy, especially in increasing achievements in the dimensions of decent living standards.
